Are you looking for a weekend escape close to home but far enough to feel like you are deep in nature away from the hustle of life?  Sophia and Cleo invite you to join us for our amazing, high vibe vegetarian cooking and yoga weekend retreat. Allow us to teach you how easy it is to cook delicious, seasonal plant-based meals while also enjoying daily yoga classes. Our weekend retreat is for anyone who wants a break from the daily grind of urban life.

Yoga, meditation, healthy nutrition, morning walks and massage are some of the activities on offer during the retreat. Restore your energy under the African sun surrounded by green, lush pecan trees along the banks of the Magalies river. We believe that the starting point for rejuvenation of the body and mind is through the foods that we consume. One of the highlights of the weekend will be the vegetarian cooking classes on offer by Cleo who is a passionate chef and expert in vegetarian cuisine. She will skillfully guide you how on you to prepare some of the delicious and nutritiously healthy foods that are lovingly made at Melody Hill. You will learn how to create variety in your kitchen through plant-based seasonal, wholesome, healthy vegetarian cooking and clean eating. We will lovingly create dishes together that can be enjoyed by all, guided by Cleo who will show us you how to combine ingredients to create a plate of goodness.

Cleo will also lovingly share her recipes with you so that you can continue your healthy, nutritious lifestyle when you get back home just in time for Spring. You will welcome in each day of the retreat with a sunrise yoga class with Sophia as your teacher. This will be followed by breakfast and cooking demonstrations on how to create a healthy home menu for yourself and your family. A beautiful outdoor lunch will be followed by some free afternoon time to catch up on some self-care. Book yourself a luxurious Kahuna massage or spend the afternoon napping or reading by the pool. Enjoy evening sound journeys and sacred ceremonial space to deepen into your healing journey.

Our retreat will take place at the beautiful Melody Hill Retreat Centre in Magaliesburg, a short 1.5-hour drive from Johannesburg. Melody Hill offers a peaceful and tranquil setting for mind, body and soul integration. Total harmonious relaxation for the body, mind and spirit. Their grounds and facilities include a studio, swimming pool, labyrinth, river, orchard, dam, vegetable gardens and beautiful buildings, designed and built over 20 years, with love and passion.

MEALS
All breakfasts, lunches and dinners are provided as a part of your registration. Our meals
will be lovingly prepared by Melody Hill’s own chef. Meals are vegetarian or vegan. There
is space in the Welcome Packet (part 3) to provide information about any special dietary
requirements you have.

WHAT TO BRING
The Retreat Centre is situated in Magaliesburg so comfortable, warm and casual clothing
is the best thing to consider when packing. The following is a basic idea of what to bring if
you’re stuck!
